Melinda’s Thoughts 06/13/22

Hello. This time of year is always exciting with summer here and school accomplishments to be celebrated. Our oldest granddaughter, Abigail, graduated from High School last week. We are so proud of her! I really like this quote by Michael Altschuler:

“The bad news is time flies. The good news is you’re the pilot.”

My sisters, spouses, and our Mom get together on Zoom a couple of times a month. We had the most interesting discussion about time and my Dad. We were talking about movies and one of my sisters mentioned that a couple of times my Dad left a movie early because he said it was a waste of time! As I have gone through the days since, I have asked myself if what I am doing at that moment is a waste of time or is there something more meaningful I could be doing with my time. I am pleased to say that I am living with more intent than  before. I hope everyone will make the most of their summer. Take Care. Melinda

Hello. Congratulations to Haley, Assistant Administrator and Bookkeeper, who gave birth to a cute baby boy last weekend.  Welcome RJ to the No Worries family. School will be out soon and it is time to enjoy the outdoors. One of my favorite memories is taking my children on trails in the Olympic National Forest. It was amazing. So beautiful. We also loved Ferry rides and going to Victoria to see the Butchart Gardens. When Jim and I got married, we had new memories of Sunriver, Detroit Lake, Mt. Hood, and best of all the Oregon Coast. Enjoy getting outside. It is good for the body and soul! Take Care. Melinda
